Here’s what they don’t tell you about summer food

The Good Life Letter

20th May 2018

Well, well, well.

It’s been a sunny start to the summer, which bodes well for my amazing barbeque skills to be on FULL display this year.

Not just at my own barbeque either…

I’m happy to interfere with barbeques anywhere I find them – even total strangers in the park.

Yes, I’m THAT guy.

I don’t apologise either. If anyone objects to my meddling, I usually declare that I am an author of at least ONE hot-selling recipe book, which makes me as close to a celebrity ‘foodie’ as my friends will ever get.

And it’s not like I’m some meat-chomping, chicken-wielding maniac, like some back-garden version of Henry VIII.
You know I believe in balanced, sensible eating. So I’m as obsessed with salads, chargrilled peppers, tofu, haloumi, Pimms, giant watermelons and all the other tasty delights of summer too.

Which CAN be a problem….

You see, while we all think that wintry foods like sprouts and cabbage can give you serious wind, few people ever accuse summer foods of the same thing, and so they eat them with wild abandon.

But actually, that’s not true.

Prepare for one of my ‘hot takes’ here…

Fruits like apples, grapes, raisins and watermelon are really antagonising for people with flatulence – and similar goes for summer vegetables like courgettes, peas and asparagus.

These foods contain fibres or sugars which are hard to digest and are broken down by harmless bacteria in the bowel, causing gas in the system.

What’s more, in the summer, we tend to eat outside, with friends around us, over a long afternoon, and shovel away a lot more food than we realise…

I don’t know about you, but when I go to people’s houses, I can’t resist anything that’s offered, and so come rolling out at the end of the night like a giant rugby ball.

And why not? Summer is here to be enjoyed. Eat, drink and be merry.

The only thing is, if you suffer from wind, you can end up in pain, embarrassed and downright miserable.
But it doesn’t have to be like this.

It’s such an easy problem to avert, if you know how.

So if you have stomach issues like flatulence, bloating, IBS and other sometimes embarrassing issues, get yourself some of this ASAP!

A common problem that is no joke

This wonderful product is called Wind Away and, well, really the name needs no more explanation, does it?
It relieves and prevents flatulence – all without drugs and weird chemicals.

While some people joke about this common health problem, it’s never very funny for those who suffer from it, and many do so in silence (excepting the noise from their bottoms).

Perhaps you have gastroenteritis, IBS, lactose intolerance or coeliac disease – all of which cause flatulence.

It’s not nice being constantly aware of your tummy, of making sure you’re near a toilet, or getting that sudden searing pain when you know you’re going to have to release that wind and you’ve nowhere to escape.

If so, then Wind Away is a natural remedy you should arm yourself with, no matter what time of year.

Discover the power of coconut shell charcoal

It contains activated charcoal, derived from coconut shells, which helps reduce excessive flatulence after eating.
That ingredient might surprise you….

But activated coconut charcoal is a very absorbent material with millions of tiny pores that capture, bind, and remove toxic materials. It’s safe to use and completely vegan too (it’s actually registered with the Vegan Society).

Even the NHS recommends this remedy for flatulence, and they’re not known for their eager support of natural remedies!

It’s something you can carry in a bag, glove compartment or shirt pocket, ready to use when you know you’ve got food coming your way.

You simply take three capsules half an hour before you eat, then another three after. This will ensure there’s no nasty build-up of intestinal gas.

If you want to give them a try you can get them from this recommended link below. Their capsules are not only high quality, but if you’re quick they’re offering a fantastic value for money pack with 90 capsules.

Honestly, give this a go…

There’s no need to suffer excessive wind if you don’t have to!

Of course, please do check with an expert that you have no underlying health issues that’s causing your flatulence – always best to be on the safe side.

And if you’re going to a barbeque soon, have fun, and beware the large balding man approaching with a skewer – it might be me!

An end to embarrassment, discomfort and misery

Yours, as ever
